Facilities & Operations offers moving services as a billable service. For moving services on the Coral Gables or Rosenstiel campus place a service request online with 72 hours in advance, provide an account number and as much detail as possible.

The University of Miami's Surplus Property Department handles all request for transfers and disposals of University owned property. Surplus services all University of Miami Campuses and Satellites.
To place a request for surplus please fill out a transfer form found here. Upon completion, email the completed form to SurplusProperty@miami.edu. From there the surplus department will review the request and work with our moving team to coordinate a pickup time and date.
For computers, laptops, and other devices with sensitive information please follow the same Surplus process noted above. Once the submitted form is reviewed, a UMIT representative will arrive within 5 to 7 days to ensure all sensitive information is wiped from the device prior to Surplus pickup.
All three University of Miami campuses currently offer a drop-off location for media containing devices such as hard drives, USB thumb drives, laptops, tablets, magnetic tapes, floppy disks, and mobile devices.
