Our Energy Management team oversees all Coral Gables and Rosenstiel campus utility plants and is responsible for the maintenance of electrical distribution systems at the University.

We strive to ensure proper function and maintenance of all electrical systems, chilled water plants, pump facilities and mechanisms that are required to transport these services.
Our Facilities & Operations Department coordinates all planned utility outages of University buildings, including those services by outside vendors or utility companies. As part of this process, Facilities & Operations sends notifications in advance of every shutdown to the designated building liaisons. As part of this process, Facilities & Operations sends notifications in advance of every shutdown to the designated building liaisons to disseminate accordingly.
Maintenance and repair are part of Facilities & Operations' responsibilities. In keeping with our service standards and commitment to sustainability, the University has a standard set point of 72 degrees (+/- 1.5 degrees).
