‘Cane Cards and Metal Keys may be returned through the mail or in person using the information that follows:

Gables Campus

Mailing ‘Cane Cards and Metal Keys (Excluding Sub-Masters/Masters)

To mail in ‘Cane cards or keys (excluding building sub-masters or master keys), please use interoffice mail or regular mail to send them to:

UM Access Control

Please include the former employee’s name, supervisor’s name, total number of items included, and information on where metal key(s) were used (building/doors).

In-Person Drop Off 24/7 (Any Cane Card / Metal Keys, Including Masters)

Please use the dropbox marked as “Access Control Drop Box” located on the Coral Gables campus at:

University of Miami Police Department

Flipse Building Lobby

5665 Ponce De Leon Blvd, 1st FL

Coral Gables, FL 33146

Please fill out the provided envelope with the requested information, insert the ‘Cane Card/keys into the envelope, and seal before putting it in the dropbox.

 

RSMAS Campus

In-Person Drop Off 24/7 (Any Cane Card / Metal Keys, Including Masters)

You may return ‘Cane cards and physical keys in person to the RSMAS Campus Safety Office, located near the front entrance/gate to the campus. If a Campus Safety Officer is not present at the time of drop-off, please contact them at (305) 710-7991.

DO NOT leave ‘Cane Cards or any keys on-site without them having been accepted by a RSMAS Campus Safety Officer in person.
